Captain Carlson was with the 376th Heavy Bombardment Group, 512th Squadron flying the B-24 Liberator bomber. He flew for United Airlines for over 36 years in airplanes ranging from the DC-3 to the B-747. He loved flying. He died June 4, 1999.
