Capt. Brandt entered the Air Force in 1966 from the Air Force ROTC program at Allegheny College, Meadville, PA. He became an intelligence officer and served at a forward intelligence installation in Turkey during the height of the Cold War. Subsequently he completed his Air Force service with the Defense Mapping Agency in 1969.
He is an attorney in Sewickley, PA where he is active in veteran organizations.
