    Bob Johnson at eighteen joined the Army Air Corps in January 1941. He entered flight school in 1942 and thus began a lifetime of flying. He spent 2 ½ years in the South Pacific flying C-47s. In June 1945 he separated from service to continues his career with Capital (PCA) Airlines –later UAL. He retired in 1982 with more than 37 years flying props, turbo props and jets. For twenty years he owned a single engine plane, flying for fun and introducing his son to the joys of flying. Bob Jr. has continued in the field of aviation. From a single engine on a grass field to a 747 in Hawaii. Bob’s life covered many phases of aviation.
