Born in Franklin, PA; graduated Bay Village Ohio High School; graduated from The Ohio State University. Spent six years in U.S. Army, Army Reserve, and Ohio National Guard. Hired by United Airlines in 1966 and retired in 1998. Crew based in Newark NJ, JFK-NY, Miami FL, TDY-Hong Kong. Aircraft flown: DC-6 (4 engine prop), French Caravelle, Boeing 727, Douglas DC-8 and DC-10, Boeing 757, 767 and 777, plus various private aircraft. Flew domestic, Europe, Asia, India, Central and South America. I was lucky to see many interesting parts of our world – but there really is “no place like home”. I thank my wife Elizabeth for being my best friend and supporter during my career and always – also son Michael. I admired the pilots that I worked with for 32 years. I admired their skill, knowledge, and professionalism. Keep it safe up there!
