Capt. Ronald Edwards earned a journalism degree at Columbia Pacific University and spent one tour of duty
in the U.S. Air Force, assigned as a public affairs officer at the North American Aerospace Defense Command in Colorado Springs, CO. He then became an airline pilot and began writing free-lance articles on aviation and space for national publications. He was elected to membership in the Aviation Space Writers Association in 1980. He retired from the airline and continues to write feature articles and books on aviation/space activities and personalities.
