I graduated in February of 1953 from single-engine training at Big Spring, Texas. After gunnery and instrument school I reported to the 36th Wing, 53rd Fighter Squadron in Bitburg, Germany.
I flew all of the early jet fighters including the F-80, F-84 and mostly the F-86F. I started with United Airlines in March, 1956 and flew the CV-340, DC-6, T-8 and T-10, and the Boeing 727. I retired in 1990 after 34+ years.
