Stuart joined the U.S Navy flight program in 1955 flying FJ4Bs at Pensacola, FL. He left the Navy as a LCDR in 1960 at Alameda m, CA. He joined the Navy Reserve in Illinois until 1968. He was hired in Chicago, IL by United Airlines in 1961 and flew 32 years on varied aircraft from Navigator to Captain. H retired as a DC-10 Captain flying to the Hawaiian islands based in San Francisco, CA in 1993. He passed away Feb. 19, 2004. He privately flew a Cessna Citation.
