Active service from Sept 1942 to March. 1946. Flight training In the Army Air Corp at Kelly Field, Coleman, Goodfellow Field, and Eagle Pass in Texas. Served as a pilot in the China/Bursa/India Theater flying the hump and attained the rank of Captain in the Army Air Force prior to release from active duty. Awarded the following medals: American Campaign, Asiatic Pacific Service, Air Medal with 0ak leaf Cluster, Distinguished Flying Cross, and WWII Victory Medal.
