    First flying lessons in 1949 at Aegis, Agawam Sea Plane Base, Agawam, Massachusetts. The aircraft was a 65 h.p. two place Taylor-craft on floats.
    Aircraft flown since then: Fairchild 24 on floats, Piper J-3, Piper PA-11, Piper PA-18, Piper Super Cub on wheels and skis, Piper Tri-pacer, Aeronica Champ, Cessna 120, Cessna 140 on wheels and skis, Stearman Bi-plane, AT-6, T-28, T0-33, DC-3, DC-4, DC-6, DC-7, DC-10, B-737, B-727, B-747, Vickers Viscount, two models of Schweizer Sail Planes.
    Hired by Capital Airlines on June 8, 1956. Capital merged into United Airlines in 1961. Retried from United Airlines in July 1994 after 38 years of service. When I retired I was number four on the System Seniority list out of about 8,500 pilots.
