    Graduated in December 1959 from Auburn University with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and a commission as a 2nd Lt in the USAF through the ROTC Program. Entered USAF active duty in Feb. 1961 becoming a member of Pilot Training Class 61-F. Awarded Pilot Wings in Mar. 1961and assigned to fly C-130 Aircraft at Sewart AFB, TN
    Participated in airlift support for Viet Nam conflict and served 30 month assignment at Naha, Okinawa. Attained the rank of Capt. became an Aircraft Commander and accumulated about 2000 hours flying time in the C-130 before being honorably discharged from the service in 1967.
    Began work at AVCO Aerostructures in Nashville, TN in 1967 as an Engineer Supporting
    Awarded a MS in Engineering Administration from University of Tenn. 1974.
    Attained the position of Director of Production Engineering before retiring after 31 years of
    service in 1998.
    Manufacturing programs supported directlv or as a manager or director include:
    Wings for C-5 A and C-5B
    Wings for Gulfstream II, III and IV.
    Wings for Bae-146
    Wings for B-1B
    Empennages for C-130
    Inner Tank Section for Space Shuttle External Tank
    Spoilers and Vanes for C-17
    Spoilers, Flaps, Leading Edges, and Upper Wing Skins for Airbus A-330, A340
    Empennage and Ramp for V-22
    Married in 1962 and had one child
    Member of the Air Force Association since 1970.
