Thomas Wilson Tucker was born on May 23, 1953, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was raised in Ridge, MD, graduated from Great Mills High school, and entered the Air Force in 1973. Tom married his soul mate, Elaine Wall, on February 7, 1976, in Arlington, VA. Over the years, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Trixie and Eve. Tom's family was the light of his life.
Tom's first Air Force assignment was Tyndall AFB in Panama City, FL. He then moved on to be stationed in Guam, New Jersey, back to Florida, and Maine. At this point, Tom completed his bachelor's degree at Husson College, where he was valedictorian of his graduating class of 1985. He was commissioned as a reserve officer in the Air Force, and after completing training at Chanute, IL, was stationed at Langley AFB, VA. He went on a one-year remote tour to Iceland, and then was stationed at Spangdahlem in Germany.
The Tuckers moved to Great Falls, MT in 1993, and Tom retired from the Air Force as a Captain after 21 years of service. He then went to work for the State of Montana as an examiner for the Division of Banking and Financial Institutions.
Tom was a member of Cascade Lodge No. 34 and Helen C. Roberts No. 71, Order of Eastern Star. He was a member of Central Christian Church Disciples of Christ and was also President of the Great Falls Stamp Club. Tom's interest's included stamp collecting, reading, fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved playing cards and driving his "dream" sports car. Computers and e-Bay were his passions.
Tom went on to brighter days on March 21, 2005. He was a loving, big-hearted guy with a sparkling personality and a twinkle in his eye who would give you the "shirt off his back" if you needed it. He will be greatly missed.
