Tommy's 31 years with Pan Am started on the Boeing Stratocruiser and took him to all quadrants of the world, including the Berlin Corridor.
During his five years flying the 747-400 for United Airlines, Tommy's airmanship skills, experience, mentoring and pleasant personality made each of the Pacific crossings one you looked forward to.
He also took care of his crew, not only on layovers, but whenever the opportunity arose to share his home life.
In the air or on the ground Tommy Carroll was a gentleman.
