Soloed glider at age 14. Had commercial license flight instructor certificate, instrument rating, ground school rating, by the time he graduated from high school at 18. When he was 21, he received ATP rating and flight engineer certificate. Graduated from Georgia Tech with an Electrical Engineering degree; then worked for Boeing Aircraft as an electrical engineer attached to the flight training department.
He is now a Captain with U.S. Airways, flying 767 – International routes.
