Born 19 July 1923 Morgantown, N.C. Graduated N.C. State University 1947. After serving in Army Air Corps, 1943-1944 as navigator on a B-24, 13th Air Force, graduated Class 51-C USAF.
Hired as first officer, DC-3 by United Airlines in 1952. Served as co-pilot on DC3, DC6, DC7 and DC8. Served as Captain on Caravelle, B727, DC8 and DC10. Retired as Captain in 1983. Served as flight engineer on DC10, 1983, retiring on May 1, 1990.
Served as Alpha Chair Council 34-SFO for two years. Served as President of RUPA 1992-1994 and 1996.
