He cut afternoon classes in college to go out to the field and take flying lessons. He finished the private, commercial, instrument, multi-engine and CFI while teaching high school music and math; and then he moved to the airlines and retired at 60 with about 17,000 hours. After that it was a twin Comanche and more teaching. “He LOVED to fly!”
