    Capt William “Mike” Kennett flew search and rescue missions in the Vietnam War. He was a flight instructor in Pensacola, Florida before joining United airlines in April 1969.

    Captain Kennett was a Standards Captain and trainer on the Boeing 757 & 767. He wrote and implemented many of the safety guidelines used in the cockpit today.

    Mike had a career spanning over 30 years with United Airlines until his death (due to colon cancer) in August 2007.
