Bill Willson began flying at age 16 at Danbury Airport in Danbury, CT. He was hired by United Airlines when he was 21 in 1964. During his 38-year career with United he flew Richard Nixon's presidential campaign charter (1968), many Fantasy Flights during the holidays, and served as Chief Pilot in both Miami and San Francisco prior to his retirement in March 2002.
Since 1988 Bill has been a volunteer pilot for Project Orbis, flying to countries throughout the world as the Orbis staff works to restore sight.
