    Born in China Dip came to the U.S. when he was 12. By the time he was 21 he had mastered the English Language.
    In 1941 he became an air force flying cadet. Captain Dip served under the command of General Doolittle and General Arnold in the 8th Air Force as a bombardier. He led combat squadrons over Europe in the early 1944s. Later he took part in the development of radar bombing and navigation in the Air Force which became such an important technology in post-World War II.
