    Bernard S. Duskin, Jr. is from Seattle, Washington. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in VMF-211 and VMF-323. He flew 87 missions as a fighter pilot in the Solomon and Philippine Islands and later as a flight instructor in New Orleans, Louisiana and Norman, Oklahoma before his discharge after the war's end. He served as a Captain in the Marine Corps Reserves through the Korean War and spent his postwar career doing contract work for the U.S. Air Force and NASA.
