    Ms. Laura Fandey Carson

Fayze Fandey was born June 1, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas.  His father, Zaid Fandey, was an immigrant from Lebanon.  His mother, Katherine Crozier Fandey, was a second generation Texan.

Fayze's schooling was in New Mexico.  He was interested in math and science and took all the courses offered.  He enrolled in Texas A&M.  He left college to enlist in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He returned to college to complete his B.S. degree. He applied for and was commissioned a Supply Corps Ensign.  He retired with the rank of Captain.

Fayze married Sarah Hall in 1950.  For seven years he was a public school teacher in New Mexico. He went to work for Northrop Aircraft in Hawthorne, California.  He worked on aviation projects including the Boeing 747, KC-135, F-4H, F-101, and F-89.  Next were the T-38, N-156, and F-5 aircraft.  He was the Pricing Manager.  Northrop's F-17 was not selected by USAF and Fayze continued as Pricing Manager for the F-18 Navy aircraft.  He moved to the Aircraft Services Division as Pricing Manager.  He then transferred to Advanced Systems Projects which was involved in compartmentalized classified aerospace programs. The Northrop B-2 Stealth Bomber resulted in the formation of Northrop Advanced Systems Division where Fayze was Pricing Manager.

After retirement from Northrop, Fayze continued working as an aerospace consultant for Northrop, Aerojet, TRW, and McDonnell Douglas Santa Ana and Huntington Beach.  Since 1997 he has been an aerospace consultant for the U.S. Department of Justice.

Three of his four children were involved in aviation: Dennis, a Navy pilot for 21 years, David, an engineer for Mcdonnell Douglas, and Laura, a cost accountant for Hughes Helicopters and private pilot.  Dennis and David are Eagle Scouts and Laura is a Gold Scout.
