In Loving Memory of Jeffery D. Munzell, April 29, 1953 - January 21, 2020
Jeff's love for airplanes and his dream to fly began as far back as he could remember. He began preparing for his career by learning to fly and working at Tamiami Airport as a line service worker in high school. Jeff graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He went on to tow banners, fly cargo and eventually work for Air Carolina, Metro Airlines, Orion Air (UPS), and Air Atlanta. Jeff attained his dream of becoming an airline pilot for a major carrier when he was hired by United Airlines in 1985.
He retired from United Airlines as a Boeing 777 Captain in 2018 after almost 33 years of service and more than 30,000 hours. He loved flying small airplanes, going to airshows, and was in the process of building a Van's RV-8. He is missed beyond measure. We love you Jeff. You are forever in our hearts.
