Graduated Penn State University 1978. Bachelor of Science degree Biology. Attended on Naval ROTC Scholarship. Achieved Dean’s List. Started primary flight training Pensacola Florida (Mentor T-34C) 1979 / Advanced training Corpus Christi (T-44 King Air). Received Navy Wings, Dec 1979. Completed P-3 training Moffett Field, CA and reported to VP-6 NAS Barbers Pt, Hawaii. Completed 3 yrs in Pacific Theater. Reported to VP-31 at NAS Moffett Field to serve as P-3 Instructor Pilot. In 1985 hired by US Airways as DC-9 Pilot. Check-out as Captain on MD-80 and Airbus A-319, 320,321. Joined VP-64, NAS Willow Grove, as P3 mission Commander. Selected as A320 Check Airman for US Airways. Retired May 2000.
