Captain Leslie Hill is currently a Boeing 737-800 Captain with American Airlines. Her interest in aviation began as a child and evolved into a lifelong passion. After college and a brief stint as a journalist she started flying lessons in 1977. She obtained her FAA licenses and ratings and worked in general aviation as a flight instructor and also flew as a corporate pilot until hired by American Airlines in 1987. She is a strong supporter of aviation education and historical programs as well as an active member of the American pilot’s union. In addition she is a devoted wife and mother of two daughters.
Education: B.S. Biology, University of Pennsylvania 1975, MBA George Washington University 1986.
