    USAF 1954-1957. Private pilot lessons 1957 -1958. Cut his teeth in aviation and built up his flying time with corporate aircraft and charter flying while attending college 1958 - 1963. Commercial Airline pilot 1963 - 1998. Flew 24,418 safe hours on many types of aircraft from J-3 Piper Cubs to Boeing 747 passenger and cargo aircraft.
    Flew Captain on five different types of A/C: DC-9, DC-8, B-727, B-737, and EMB 145/135.
    Began his commercial flying career with Trans Texas Airways in 1963, spent 21 very happy years with Continental Airlines, but chose to leave during the Lorenzo era. He then flew for Northeastern International Airlines, Air Atlanta, Express One International, Kalitta Cargo Airlines, TransOcean Airways, Emery Air Freight, MGM Grand Air, Ryan International Airlines, ending with Northwest Airlines.
    Following mandatory PIC retirement he was a Flight Instructor on the B-737-300 for Lacsa Airlines in Costa Rica. He then taught simulator and ground school instruction for the EMB 145/135 and Boeing 737-300 at Flight Safety International and Crew Pilot Training. He also worked for Homeland Security following 9/11 as a Training Instructor for airport screeners and supervisors.
    His "claim to fame" is being hired by Northwest Airlines as a pilot at the age of 61.
