    Captain Harrell has had a remarkable flying career. His accumulated flight time exceeded 38,700 hours, an amazing total. The aircraft he has flown includes: Piper Cub J3, Cessna 206, T-37, T-33, F-100, RF-101, F-104, RF-4, Pan American 707 and 727, Korean Air 747, and United 747 and 737. Captain Harrell spent nine years in the Air Force after being commissioned in 1960 upon his graduation from Stanford University. During that time he flew 87 combat missions in Viet Nam. He also served in the Air National Guard, flying reconnaissance missions. He followed his military career as an Airline Captain, flying for Pan Am, Korean Air, and United Air Lines. Captain Harrell is currently contributing his aviation experiences by being a Docent at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA.
