This inscription is here to honor the career of Captain Steven W. Childs of UPS Airlines. Beginning flying at the age of sixteen, he worked his way from student to instructor, to cargo pilot, to commuter airlines, to Captain of the Douglas DC-8, Boeing 757/767, and Airbus A-300. He has inspired many through his actions, and serves as a role model both personally and professionally to all of the people he has encountered in fifty years of flying.
All the while being such a skilled and experienced pilot, the job he is best at is being a Father, Husband, and Grandpa to his family.
This was given by a grateful and loving family, who appreciates the hard work, dedication to his family and his passion for aviation. Especially his son who is exceptionally thankful for passing down the love of aviation to him.
Thank you Dad for everything that you do. We are extremely lucky bunch to have such a wonderful person in in our lives. We love you and are very proud to call you ours.
