    Honored by:

Inspired by Lindberg’s flight in 1927 began making model airplanes which led to flying gliders in Hillsboro, Rd. island in 1931, from there to Elmira, N.Y.; billed “The Soaring Capital of the World.”
Became a C.P.T. (Civilian Pilot Trainer) in 1938, after a stint in the C.C.C., and did private flying also.
Was instructor in eastern Conn. until 1941. During that time was also ground school instructor at various High Schools and at Providence College in Rd. Island.
When WW II started was called to Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Ga. as ground instructor.
In 1943 transferred into Military Transport Service with Eastern Airlines and in 1944 went on the line as pilot for Eastern Airlines.
Became Captain three years later and retired in 1977 with a log of 36,000 hrs. flying time.
Moved to Wurtsboro, N.J. and was a glider instructor, tow pilot, fire patrol pilot for U.S.F.S., and also did charter piloting.
Left snow country and settled in the So. West, where I flew tours of the Grand Canyon and did some glider work and fire control reconnaissance for U.S.F.S.
Finally settled down and ended my bachelor days and married at 79 years young.
Almost 84 now and we’re still on our honeymoon.
    Everyone should be so lucky!
