    Carl J. Campbell, was a Gemini-Apollo era avid young follower of the Space Program who later served in the US Air Force and graduated from Parks College of St. Louis University with a BS degree in Aeronautics. Carl held various engineering and managerial positions including an A-26 in-flight test crew member with Garrett Turbine Engine Co, a flight test engineer and manager for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing on the F-15/F-18 aircraft and Missile Defense Agency ground based interceptor programs, the lead electrical payload processing engineer on the Delta IV and Atlas V rockets for United Launch Alliance. Carl also was a member of the launch team for numerous high profile missions including the first Orion space capsule test flight (EFT-1), Mars Insight lander and the Parker Solar Probe mission. Carl later supported Rocket Lab as its first payload integrator and supported payload integrations on 17 missions. Carl finished his full-time aerospace career of 49 years at Virgin Orbit and supported the final 3 successful payload delivery missions.
