Entered the USAF in 1952. Participated in numerous worldwide electronic intelligence missions in RB-36 and RB-47 aircraft during the cold war era. Served in Vietnam from 1967-1968. Later, as a B-52D electronic warfare officer, participated in aerial bombardment missions over Vietnam during the early 1970’s. Retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel in 1976 after 24 years of active duty. Military decorations include the Bronze Star, Air Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal.
