Catherine Colella is a Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a research assistant with the Mesmer Research Group. During her time in the space hardware club she worked on the design, manufacturing and testing of a sub-750g glider to carry a microcontroller and suite of sensors for data collection.

She is a NASA Community College Aerospace Scholar and holds a Ham Radio Operator license. She has experience in topics such as heat transfer in metal foams and hardness testing methodologies utilizing thermal contact resistance. Her professional goals are to work in mission control for NASA and contribute to space policy solutions.
