    Graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1970 and enlisted in the Naval Reserves.
    June 1971, reported to Aviation Officer Candidate School, NAS Pensacola, FL. Designated a Naval Aviator September, 1972.

    +USS Ponce (LPD-15) - Mediterranean, Caribbean, and North Atlantic. +HM-12, Norfolk - Western Pacific and evaluation of the AN/ALQ-141 mine countermeasures device,
    Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Deployed USS Okinawa, USS Dubuque, and USS Nimitz. +HM-14, Norfolk - Nova Scotia, Western Pacific, Red Sea, and Beirut, Lebanon (Operation Intense Look).
    Deployed USS Austin, USS Tripoli, and USS Shreveport. +Defense Communications Agency, Washington, DC. +HM-12, Norfolk - Operation Desert Storm, Egypt. +Combat Logistics Group TWO, Norfolk.
    Aircraft Flown:
    +T-34B, T-28B/C, TH-57A, UH-1D/E, RH-53D, CH-53E, MH-53E
    +Accumulated over 3200 flight hours and 3000 MH-53E simulator instructional hours.
    Retired from Active duty in 1993 after 22 years of service.
    Individual awards include the Defense/Navy Meritorious Service, Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement Medals as well as numerous campaign and unit awards.
    Earned Graduate degrees from Golden Gate and Old Dominion Universities.
    After retirement, authored computer-based training software for the CH/MH-53E helicopters and instructed in the MH-53E operational flight trainer.
    As of 2006, Program Manager (GS-13) assigned to the Afloat Training Group, Norfolk, VA.
