Entered Navy August 1943 as Seaman 2/c thence Aviation Cadet. Received commission and Navy wings July 1945.
Flew conventional patrol/bomber type aircraft until carrier qualification in twin engine jet bombers operating from WWII angled Deck carriers. Yorktown, Shangri-La and Hancock 1957-1958 and 1964-1965.
