    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. Jim Guy

CDR Guy (1920 - ) flew most of his life; first as a high school junior, through engineering college (K State), building and flying gliders, in the Navy (1937 – 1967) flying jets, carrier heavy attack A-J “Savages” and most all types except seaplanes.
His seaplane experience came in the ‘70s when with Antilles Air Boats he flew Grumman “Goose” A/C. While accumulating 9000+ hours he had his share of emergencies – including “single engines” and one bail out. The “bail-out” occurred when the tail of his A-J snapped while attempting to extend a faulty landing gear. Fortunately, though destroyed, this A/C had already been slated for the scrap heap.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
