    Honored by:

My father, Joe Grieco, is an example of the true American success story. He was born in New York City, of Italian immigrant parents, in 1924. Joining the Navy right out of high school, he served in World War II. Joe married Margaret Tabolt in 1952 and eventually became the parents of six children. After a stint working for Curtis Wright Aircraft, they moved to southern California in 1959. Joe was employed by TRW from 1963 - 1969 as an aerospace engineer and was assigned to the Apollo program.
After Apollo 11 landed the first man on the moon, Joe left TRW to work for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He received his Master's Degree in Aerospace Administration from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1971. He retired from the FAA after 15 years and from the US Naval Reserve after serving for over 40 years with distinction. Joe later worked for McDonnell Douglas as a consulting engineer.

Joe and Marge still live in the same house they bought for $29,000 in 1959. They have nine grandchildren.
