Soloed in J-3 Cub on Oct. 7, 1945. Graduated from U.C. Berkeley June 1951 as Ensign, USN. Korea cruise on USS Shields DD-596. Entered Naval Flight Training Oct. 1952. Soloed SNJ-5 on Mar. 10, 1953. 4000 hours of Navy Flight time. 233 carrier landings on 12 aircraft carriers including HMS Victorious. 1700 hrs. in AD-6 Skyraiders. Retired in 1973. Taught NJROTC at Carson City H. S. for ten years. M Have been a flight instructor since 1981 and now have over 9,000 hrs. Spent four years as a Carson City Supervisor.
