    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

I have been amazed by aviation ever since I spotted my first airplane flying over my house from Miami International Airport in the early 1960s. I would routinely travel to the airport which was very close by just to watch the aircraft takeoff and land. I later worked there for an aircraft fueling company and the airport authority in a capacity of an airfield security specialist.
I am currently a member of the United States Air Force Reserve as a Staff Sergeant assigned to the 70th Aerial Port Squadron at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida. My job as an Air Transportation Craftsman entails working around the aircraft and preparing them for missions.
My whole life has been spent around airplanes in various venues such as airports, airshows, and museums. I will be attending the commemoration of the Wright Brothers flights on December 17, 2003 at Kitty hawk, North Carolina. This will mark the 100th anniversary of powered flight, which I believe is one of the seminal events for the20th century. I should have an understanding of this because I am a history teacher in Miami, Florida.
