Born June 7, 1913, Waynesboro Pennsylvania. Worked as an aeronautical engineer at Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown, Maryland. Fairchild produced many planes, including a C-82A packet, C-119 Flying Boxcar, F-27, plus A10 Thunderbolt II (also known as the Warthog).

Mr. Stoner held a certificate of authority as a FFA designated engineering representative on systems and equipment. Mr. Stoner had several patents issued and papers published. Mr. Stoner retired from Fairchild in 1972, after 29 years. He died April 3, 1991, at age 78.
