    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Ms. Diane Brooks

Christian Delionback has such a great love, understanding, and knowledge of aviation that he was able to finish the sentences for our dossier as we toured the museum two years ago. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 through 1957 leaving with an honorable discharge.

After graduating from North Carolina State University in engineering, he relocated to Florida for an engineering job. He immediately began furthering his love of aviation through flying and owning four different aircraft. Chris flew and owned a 1947 Bellanca Cruisair Sr., a 1956 Piper Tri Pacer, a 1962 Cessna 182, and finally a 1963 Cessna 2IOC which he flew and owned for 31 years.

During these years Chris belonged to three different flying organizations: Quiet Birdman, Florida Aero Club, and the Bessemer Aero Club (when he relocated to Birmingham, Alabama). He received the Eagle Award from the Florida Aero Club for "Years of Outstanding Service and Dedication."

We truly feel that Christian Delionback is an outstanding aviator who deserves recognition for his accomplishments. We also know that this humble man will be so appreciative of this honor
