Analytical designer of 21-Level, 1800 resident fully- integrated communal living and service centers that are built over two lane back roads and a flow-through bus depot to reduce land use to 1/50th that of 750homes and 100 businesses, Chris learned conceptual design from his life-long study of the military and space exploration. He points out that “our fascination with historic and modern weapons isn’t because we are all killers and want of destruction. What people are really seeking (and love) about weapons are designs that are “purpose built” dedicated machines that excel in what they were meant to do.” The fact that they are for war isn’t what attract us. It is their embodiment of serious thought and functionality that so entices us, but which is o lacking in other parts of society. Would an M-1 tank sport frills and other non-critical esthetics like a false hood scoop or spoilers? Of course not! Our clamor for esthetics is the opposite, a false desire geared more for displaying wealth in a class structure than it is a true inner call for effectiveness and functionality. Realizing what our true fascination is with weapons will finally allow us to apply the exact same fundamental design principality, streamlined system, and complementary/ non-over lapping designs throughout the rest of our hum drum society. What is required by careful analysis will replace things like the iss that we only thought we wanted but which we used false logic (international cooperation) to justify.
