    Over a 50-year span, developed new concepts in aircraft design; early installation of jet engines, ballistic missiles, and the early manned space program.

    Designed landing gear, cockpit flight and engine controls for DC-2 at Douglas Aircraft Co., and for Northrop's flying wing and P-61 "The Black Widow."

    Created preliminary designs at Convair for the B-36 bomb bay, and for the folded wing XF-85 at McDonnell Aircraft.

    At Lockheed Missile and Space Co., worked on rockets for BOMARC missile and Minuteman missile launch.

    Was responsible for the assembly of the Saturn 1-B rocket for the Apollo program; worked on experimental short-range attack missile (SRAM) and the Boeing hydrofoil boat program, and was manufacturing manager of the Roland ground to missile program.
