Honored by:
Chris Byrd
Clifford A. Byrd, my father, was a 19 year old B-17 F Flying Fortress pilot in World War II, and flew in the Berlin Airlift, the Korean War and Vietnam. He spent 22 years in the US Air Force as a pilot.
Great uncle, Admiral Richard E. Byrd, was my aviation predecessor and I have followed in their footsteps as an Army helicopter pilot (CH-47, Chinook) and am still active in the Reserves. I'm a pilot for U.S. Airways.
