(War Training Service), Taylorcraft-Howard PT19, Stearman PT17. 1944 assigned to 4th ARVF (Aircraft Repair Unit Floating) aboard Air Corps ship “Brig. Gen. Asa N. Duncan.” Two Sikorski R-2 helicopters aboard. Serviced B-29, P-51, P-47, and P-61 aircraft in Pacific Theatre. Awarded three Bronze Campaign Battle Stars; Marianas, Iwo Jima, Okinawa. Rank of Sgt.
    Private Pilots license. Always active in general aviation. Aviation history buff. Longtime member or EAA.
