Born Dallas, Texas April 1918. Educated in public schools. Graduated University of Missouri with Bachelor of Journalism degree and Commission as 2nd Lt. Infantry Reserve.
Entered active duty March 1941. Graduated from Air Force Flying School November 1942 as fighter pilot. Joined 8th Air Force in England January 1943. Flew 120 sorties over Europe in Republic P-47. After WWII a wide variety of assignments in Korea, Japan and Headquarters USAF Pentagon.
Became Jet qualified 1957.
Retired at Hamilton AFB, CA 1970.
