Born in Sweetwater, Texas in 1934, he joined the Marine Corps in 1956 and became a fighter pilot and served two tours in Vietnam. After retirement from the Corps in 1986, he became an investment advisor and continued to fly with the local flying club. Interest in all areas of flight remains strong, and he has a great respect for this museum.
