    1945 graduate United States Military Academy. MSE (Aeronautical) Degree University of Michigan. 27 year career in US Air Force, retiring in 1972 as a Command Pilot with the rank of Colonel. Participated in Berlin Airlift, served as Flight Instructor, B-29 and B-47 Aircraft Commander and Project Officer for air launched missile development. Graduate of the USAF Experiment Test Pilot School and the USAF Aerospace Research Pilot School. Division Chief and Program Director in the Special Projects Office of the Secretary of the Air Force participating in the development and acquisition of classified space programs in support of the National Reconnaissance Office. Director in the Manned Orbiting Laboratory (MOL) Systems Office. Deputy Director of Space at Hdqs USAF. Following Air Force retirement, 13 years with Aerojet Electrosystems Company involved with the management of classified space systems.
