Honored by:

Served 32 continuous years on active duty in the US Air Force, 1951-1983. Spent 17 in the cockpit flying fighter, training, and interceptor aircraft. Left the flight line for the Pentagon after commanding a fighter squadron at England AFB. Flew 100combat missions over North Vietnam. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Meritorious Service Medal.
