    Born Oswego, NY, 1898. Attended Colgate University. Started his interest in flying during WWI as a submarine spotter in the USN Aeronautics, stationed at Ile Tidy, France. Graduated from flying school at Kelly Field, TX 1922. “Okee” to his friends. Enlisted pilot until 1926. Flew Air mail and set record for flight from Jacksonville, FL to Newark, NJ in 1933. Test pilot 1936- 39. Army Air Corps resident representative at Fairchild Aircraft 1939-42 Resident rep at Bell Bomber Plant, Marietta, GA, getting it started 1942-44 -Legion of Merit for outstanding production. Took 301st Air Depot Group over Burma Road to Kunming, China - "Blood, Sweat and Gears” documentary of trip. NY Air Material 1946-48, Hickam AFB 1948-49. CO at Itami AFB, Japan 1949-50. To Korea when war began and retired Aug. 1950. Died 1982.
