    Madelaine Atteberry

Col. Chris Atteberry has led a multifaceted, 22-year career in the United States Air Force. During that time, he served as an officer and pilot of multiple aircraft, professor of physics at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, chief of scheduling of the deployment and operation of all combat aircraft in the Air Force inventory at Langley AFB, Commander of the 25th FTS squadron at Vance AFB, a National Defense Fellow, and Deputy Director for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief at the Pentagon. Chris mastered each position with increased proficiency, and was a valuable asset to this country throughout his years of service. His family has stood beside him through every promotion, every new position, every relocation. Since his retirement in 2011, Chris has acquired a private pilot's license and logged flight hours in a Cessna 172, Cessna 152, and a Piper Cherokee. His passion for flight and for science is an inspiration.
