    Colonel d’Alelio joined the Air Service in 1958. Went through the James Connelly AFB and earned his wings as a Navigator. Upon completing Mather AFB he became a Radar Navigator and flew over 2000 hours in B-47s and 1000 in B-52Ds. Col. d’Alelio was a Master Navigator and instructor in both aircraft. He logged 163 combat missions over Vietnam in B-52Ds. Col. d’Alelio finished 24 years of active duty as a member of the Studies Analysis and Gaming Agency, Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Pentagon in 1982.
