World War II US Navy aircrew gunner 1943-1946.

USAF pilot 1949-1977.

100 missions Korea, P-51 Mustang, 18th Fighter-Bomber Wing 1951.

Vietnam - 137 missions, 12th Fighter-Bomber Wing. F-4 Phantoms. Two additional tours: flew F-4 54-799 at Khan Duc Special Forces camp, South Vietnam. Aircraft sustained battle damage, crash landed at Chu Lai, South Vietnam. Aircraft was recovered and is now mounted at the Air Force Academy.
